Imane Khelif has gained gold on the Olympics!

The 25-year-old Algerian boxer simply gained her gold medal match towards China’s Lin Yu-Ting within the Boxing Girls’s 66kg Last on Friday (August 9) at Roland Garros in Paris, France.

Imane had an unimaginable victory second after weeks of controversy surrounding her gender. She was unfairly scrutinized by main world leaders and celebrities, who questioned her gender id and claimed she was a person.

The controversy started after Imane‘s first-round match on the Paris Olympics, when Italy’s Angela Carini dropped out of their match after lower than a minute within the ring. She claimed she couldn’t end the match due to the “maturity” of her opponent.

Angela later issued an apology to Imane and stated that she would “embrace her” if that they had the chance to satisfy once more.
