Sigourney Weaver has help from family members on the 2024 Venice Movie Pageant!
The 74-year-old actress was honored with the Golden Lion Award for Lifetime Achievement through the competition’s opening ceremony on Wednesday (August 28) in Venice, Italy.
Sigourney was joined on the occasion by her baby Shar Simpson and their companion Nemo Allen.
Shar, who’s non-binary and makes use of they/them pronouns, works as as an adjunct assistant professor on the Digital Storytelling Lab at Columbia College Faculty of the Arts, in response to Pink Information. Shar is Sigourney‘s baby with husband Jim Simpson.
Throughout her acceptance speech, Sigourney joked that the award will now be touring along with her without end, saying it is going to be “sitting subsequent to me on the airplane, it is going to be subsequent to be within the gondola and my husband should get used to having it in mattress with us.”
